NetKernel Enterprise Edition
Assured Stability
NetKernel Enterprise Edition is the premier platform for resource
oriented computing.
To the rock solid NetKernel foundation it adds assurance, distributed cloud infrastructure, advanced
professional development tools, production and management features and
a verifiable, encrypted repository used to supply security and critical bug-fix
updates to production deployments.
Production Ready
Each NetKernel Enterprise Edition release is certified production ready
after it passes extensive testing and validation.
After each release, maintenance and bug fixes are available for
five years from its repository.
Release Schedule
A fully integrated version of NetKernel Enterprise Edition is released
every 2 years providing the proven baseline distribution of
Enterprise-ready ROC technologies.
Enterprise Edition Apposite Repository
Each NetKernel Enterprise Edition installation is backed by a
secure, encrypted and trust-verifiable on-line repository of hot-installable
packages.
The repository provides the core packages of the distribution with compatible
updates and critical security updates.
Each Enterprise Edition main repository will provide bug-fix updates for five years,
and is guaranteed to be available for production release management for ten years,
from the release date of the distribution.
Enterprise Edition Features
NetKernel Enterprise Edition provides a set of profession,
enterprise ready tools and services that make it easier to develop,
deploy and manage NetKernel based solutions.
A detailed comparison list is provided in the
Editions
section, some headline features include...
| Feature |
Description |
| Everything from Standard Edition |
All the features of Standard Edition are included with Enterprise Edition.
|
| Performance Tuned Microkernel and Caches |
Enterprise Edition features an aggresively tuned microkernel and representation cache
which leads to greater than 2x throughput over standard edition in typical usage.
|
| NetKernel Architectural Library |
The Enterprise Edition Architectural library provides a suite of architectural components
such as virtual hosting, load shaping throttles, non-invasive instrumentation etc.
|
| NetKernel Cloud Infrastructure |
NetKernel protocol client and server allow the NetKernel ROC abstraction
to seamlessly span a cluster of cloud servers using the NetKernel Protocol
a fully ansychronous bi-direction tunnel between instances.
|
| Asynchronous HTTP Client / Server |
Move from the synchronous HTTP components in Standard Edition
to fully asynchronous components in Enterprise Edition.
These components handle very high volumes of in-bound and out-bound HTTP requests
with very few threads yielding very high performance and additional CPU core scaling.
|
| NetKernel ssh daemon |
Use cryptographically secure openSSH standard ssh clients to login, control and interact with
your applications. Supports ssh shell, ssh remote command execution and
scp file upload/download.
|
| Repository Manager |
Build and manage your own Apposite repository that includes your packages
and applications.
With the Apposite Repository Manager tool easily deploy your applications to test,
staging and production platforms with the same hot-deployment,
automated update and transaction rollback provided by the 1060 Research repositories.
|
| Realtime Profiling and Reporting |
Understand the detailed response times, scheduling priorities and system-wide performance profile of your
complete ROC solution - from resolution times to request endpoint evaluation time.
|
| Multimode Deadlock Detector |
Detect and manage deadlock scenarios such as thread starvation, infinite loops, external IO waits,
Java deadlock and recursively busy endpoints.
|
| Endpoint Statistical Profiling |
View long-term statistical profiles of all Endpoints with ability to profile individual requests such as a
specific script execution profile.
|
| Visualizer Producivity Tools |
Additional plug-in Visualizer tools to aid in rapid analysis and testing of
of resource expiry propagation, scope and detailed cachability comparisons all
make developers more productive.
