Developers experienced with NetKernel design, develop and deploy applications in record time. There are a number of paths you can take to quickly learn and then master NetKernel.

Product Documentation

Download, install and run NetKernel to access your copy of the product documentation. When you run NetKernel on your own machine all of the demos, search capabilities, etc. will be at your finger tips. We also offer web access to a snapshot of the documentation

Training Videos

We are busy at work developing training videos. These will become available starting in July 2008.

Educational Services

Instructor led training is available either directly from 1060 Research or from Skills Matter, a premier training company in Europe. Courses offered by 1060 Research are delivered at customer locations. Skills Matter offers both public and private delivery of courses.

Introduction to Resource Oriented Computing

A fast-paced, two-day course covers all aspects of Resource Oriented Computing (ROC). Designed for developers experienced with at least one programming language (preferably Java), students will understand all facets of NetKernel 3 from the familiar (low level Java code) to the logical ROC computing abstraction. Students completing this course will be ready to develop and deploy NetKernel applications.

Developing NetKernel Extensions

This course explores the details of building custom extensions for NetKernel in Java including accessors, transreptors, transports and complete resource models. Prerequisites include the Introduction to Resource Oriented Computing as well as mastery of the Java programming language.

Enterprise Integration with NetKernel

Students completing this course will learn how to leverage the capabilities of NetKernel to build systems that integrate corporate information from a variety of sources including relational database, LDAP servers, SMTP, JMS, etc.

Combined Training and Consulting

Many customers request a one-week combined training and consulting engagement. This offering introduces NetKernel in the first two days, explores architectural and design implications on the third day and the focuses on the customer's application during the final two days. Typically a development team designs their application architecture during the class and begins implementation by the end of the week.

Mentoring Services

Some teams learn best through a mentoring relationship in which a NetKernel expert is embedded in a team for a portion of a design and development effort. The mentor provides training and guidance by example. Teams that use pair programming would benefit from this type of engagement.
